Columbia 14-Red hadn't lost a pool play match in two straight tournaments, a streak dating back to late March. So maybe they were caught off guard when they lost a hard fought pair of sets in their opening match for the final day of Power League. That shock carried forward, and despite forcing a very tight tie-breaker, the Columbia ladies found themselves 0-2 to start their day. The 14-Red team worked through their struggles, forced themselves to return to playing the points and not watching the score, and their day began to turn around fast. First, they began to turn on the power in their third pool play match, including a ferocious 25-16 win to close out the match. They absorbed the lesson again in their first crossover, dropping a tough opening set before once again pouring in the points to take the next match. We bet this team carries their momentum into this weekend!
