Columbia JVBC 2019-2020 Season

Columbia 14-Black played the most grueling power league season of any Columbia team this year and finished strong at #22 (Bronze Division of Power I) in the 137 team field. Anyone watching the Bronze and Silver divisions play in Beaverton the final day would have seen EVERY #1 and #2 seed team in EVERY pool be upset in the first two rounds. the 14-Black ladies suffered one of those upsets by losing a 13-15 tie-breaker in their opening match. They rebounded to deliver their pool winner their only defeat of the day. But for that two point loss, 14-Black would have won their pool and quite possibly reached the Silver division. That kind of extremely tight competition is why Columbia returns to power league play each year. Way to power up the standings ladies!

14-Black scores: lost to NW Reign 14-1 25-17, 19-25, 13-15; defeated Webfoot 14-2 Silver 25-20, 25-17; lost to MAC juniors 14-1 Elite 20-25, 17-25; defeated NPJ 14-2 Black 25-18, 18-25, 17-15; lost to Trailsend 14-1 Leilani 22-25.
