Columbia JVBC 2019-2020 Season

After spending most of the last month pretty much dominating every venue where they played, Columbia 17-Black rolled into the INK determined to keep up the streak. Their determination held through their first two matches in their power format pool, but took a little hit when they lost a tough tie-breaker. That tie-breaker came back to haunt them when it moved them into the same side of the bracket as a pretty motivated U-18 sister team. This time, the 18's took the win to even their ledger for the month of April, and Columbia 17's finished 3rd overall (Gold bracket) in a tough 27-team field. 17-Black's only losses came to the two U-18 teams who played in the final. Columbia 17-Black will be the favorite this weekend to upgrade their ticket to USAV Nationals by dominating the U-17 bid bracket. Go get them ladies!

17-Black scores: defeated PAC-V 18 United 25-10, 17-25, 15-8; defeated CW Elite 18-1 22-25, 25-20, 15-12; lost to Cats 18-1 Black 25-21, 17-25, 9-15; defeated CPA 17-1 25-17, 17-25, 15-9; lost to Columbia 18-Black 25-18, 21-25, 12-15 (17-Black's fifth straight tie-break match.)
