Columbia JVBC 2019-2020 Season

It's always hard playing as an odd-year team, constantly playing tournaments against older opponents. After a fast start at their first tournament, the girls of Columbia 13-Black had a rough time at their second tournament. Sunday, they had their third opportunity, and the girls took advantage. Despite some bad luck in having both the eventual tournament champions, and a championship quarterfinalist team both in their initial pool, Columbia 13-Black won a pool match to finish 3rd in their pool. The girls earned a first round bye in Consolation with that win, and although they weren't able to advance further in the bracket despite pushing their first bracket set to 24-26, they finally played a tournament with another U-13 team in the field, and finished ahead of that team. The Columbia girls also improved ther bracket finish over the previous tournament. Keep up the work girls, we see you improving!
