Columbia JVBC 2019-2020 Season

Columbia 14-Red swept their pool at the annual March Madness tournament hosted by Columbia. This year, the tournament was at Chiawana where by some John L magic we managed to have a Dutch Brothers truck and a live DJ! Despite how great the venue turned out to be, it was the flashy play of both our youngest Columbia teams that dominated the morning. While the 14-Red ladies were winning every match, the young ladies of Columbia 13-Black matched them win-for-win. 13-Black had all but wrapped up their first place pool finish when they let a tie-breaker get away from them. Despite the loss, both teams finished first in their pools and vaulted into the Championship bracket. After a combined 5-1 start to the morning, both teams were knocked out of the tournament in tough Championship Quarterfinal matches. Each team tied for 5th overall in the tough 16 team field. Great work everyone!
