Today was the opening date for signing National Letters of Intent to play next fall in college. In honor of this event, we're catching up on Columbia players who have chosen their college destination since last season.
Catelyn Linke has committed to play for Eastern Washington University next fall. Catelyn first came to Columbia at age 11. Her high flying/hard hitting intensity will be a lot of fun to go see up the road in Cheney.
Leanna Shymanski will be joining Catelyn at Eastern Washington University. Leanna's sparkling personality (and blonde hair) have made her just as easy to spot on Columbia teams for years as has her dominating presence in the middle of the court.
McKaidan Moore will be the first former Columbia player to ever play at University of West Alabama. McKaidan played on the first U-12 team Columbia ever formed, and has been a leader on every team since.
Tasha Hungate is headed to Evergreen State College next fall. Another outstanding Columbia Middle Hitter, Tasha will be a dominating presence for the Geoducks. (Go Speedy)
Ashton Olin will be playing for California State University Sacramento in the fall. A terrific setter, Ashton will put on quite a show running the attack for the Hornets.
