Columbia 16-Black sweeps undefeated to NW Jamboree Championship

Columbia 16-Black, NW Jamboree ChampionsColumbia 16-Black clearly got the memo about "Columbia domination" weekend, and swept though the 36 team NW Jamboree to the Tournament Championship. Columbia's U-16 ladies didn't drop a single set all weekend until the opening set of the championship match. That wake-up call was all they needed however, and they roared on to claim the championshp as their own. Congratulations!

Columbia 15-Black wins I Silver Championship at NW Jamboree

Columbia 15-Black, NW Jamboree Div. I Silver ChampionsColumbia 15-Black won the Division I Silver Championship at the NW Jamboree, finishing 9th overall in the 36 team field. Congratulations to our players, coaches, and fans. Our U-15 girls were part of Columbia's complete sweep of the HS age levels at the Jamboree. Go Columbia!

NW Jamboree All-Tournament Players

Volleyball is a TEAM sport, but over a weekend of "Columbia domination" (more on that later), SIX Columbia players were named to the NW Jamboree All-Tournament teams. Columbia 14-Black continues to climb at CEVA Power League

Columbia 14-Black advanced their standing again at March Power League, leaping from #24 to #19 (0f 137 teams) overall. Columbia's 14's will be trying to finish their Power League campaign with a Division Championship in April. (We know they can do it.) Keep climbing ladies!

Columbia 13-Black has wild ride at NW Jamboree

Columbia 13-Black did the U-12 girls one better by ripping off five wins in a row during their ride at the NW Jamboree. The U-13 girls had a rough start dropping their first two matches, but didn't lose again until the I Bronze Division Semifinal. Keep pounding that ball ladies!

Columbia 12-Black powers up at NW Jamboree

Columbia 12-Black snapped off a four match win streak in the middle of the NW Jamboree enroute to a Bronze Semifinal appearance. Columbia's youngest team was an extra points tie-breaker from at least the Silver bracket as well. More importantly, the Columbia girls were running a full Columbia offense in preparation for moving to middle school volleyball in the fall and U-13/14 Columbia teams in the future. Keep up the great work girls!

12-Black scores: lost to Bothell 25-13, 18-25, 14-16; defeated APEX 12 Destiny 25-17,  25-15; lost to SVVC 12 Fusion 10-25, 12-25; defeated KC Thunder 12 Black 25-8, 25-21; defeated 206 25-14, 25-9; defeated Selah 12 Blue 25-13, 25-4; defeated Team Yakima 12 Blue 25-19, 25-11; lost to Team Yakima 12 Red 25-23, 24-26, 12-15. Columbia 18-Black tested at SOCAL National Qualifier

Columbia 18-Black played against some of the best teams in the country at the SOCAL National Qualifier in Anaheim. The Columbia ladies showed their ability on day one while playing in the 18 Open Division by knocking off the #9 team overall. Ultimately, the U-18 girls suffered some tough losses on the next two days, but had some terrific exposure to college coaches over the weekend.

Columbia 13-Black reaches Silver Quarterfinals at APEX Awareness

Columbia 13-Black fought hard (split two tie-breakers, and two extra points game as well), reached the Silver Quarterfinals, but ultimately couldn't advance further at the APEX Awareness Tournament on March 5th. Keep up the fight girls!

Columbia 16-Black moves to Gold at CEVA Power League

Columbia 16-Black closed their Power League campaign in style by moving into the Gold Division. Columbia's U-16 ladies reached the Silver Division Final in March to advance to the Gold Division and 12th place overall among the 112 team league. (16-Black won't play in the April power league due to a conflict with EV Regionals.)

16-Black scores: lost to Excel NW 16-1 Rox 25-18, 22-25, 6-15; defeated OJVA 16-2 Blue 25-19, 25-20; defeated NW Reign 16-1 25-15, 25-19; defeated Webfoot 16-2 Silver 25-13, 25-21; lost to Excel NW 16-1 Rox 23-25, 16-25. (3-2, 7-4)

Columbia 15-Black wraps Power League

2016 Columbia 15-BlackColumbia 15-Black played their final Power League round (they'll miss the last weekend due to EV Regionals.) Columbia's U-15 ladies finished in a three way tie at the end of pool play for first place, but were awarded the 3rd place spot on tie-breaker rules. They won to reach the Consolation Championship match but dropped the one set match at the end of a long day to finish 42nd overall in the 112 team league. (They finished 5th overall among U-15 teams.)
