Columbia 12-Black finishes 3rd at Spikefest

Columbia 12-Black advanced to the Championship bracket at the Leavenworth Spikefest on Sunday, but in the semifinal to finish 3rd overall.

12-Black scores: defeated Team Yakima 12-3 Red 25-9, 25-20, 19-25; lost to Shockwave 12 Courtney 19-25, 25-13, 13-25; lost to Club Gold 12 5-24, 18-25. (1-2, 3-5)

Columbia 16-Black holds Silver at CEVA Power League

Columbia 16-Black held their place in the Power League Silver Division on Sunday. The Columbia 16's will be the #18 seed of 112 teams overall for March.

Meanwhile, Columbia 15-Black wasn't quite so successful at holding their division despite a VERY hard fought pool, and will play in the Contender Division at #38 overall. The Columbia 15's are the number #4 U-15 overall at Power League.

Columbia 18-Black sweeps Spikestorm tournament

Columbia 18-Black, Spikestorm ChampionsColumbia 18-Black went undefeated to claim the Spikestorm Tournament Championship in Spokane on Sunday. Their performance earned 18-Black the top ranking in the Evergreen Region. Columbia 17-Black reached the Championship Semifinals at the same tournament, only to be knocked out by their sister team's march to the final. Congtulations to both teams!

Columbia 14-Black reaches CEVA Power League Diamond Division Championship match

Columbia 14-Black fought their way to the Diamond Division Championship Final for February Power League. They ran out of gas for the final, but moved into the Bronze Division, and #24 overall in the 137 team league. Congratulations everyone!

14-Black scores: defeated Roseburg 14-1 Black 25-14, 25-16; defeated Team Hiki No 14-2 25-12, 25-19; defeated NW Reign 14-1 25-20, 25-21; defeated NPJ 14-2 Black 25-19, 18-25, 15-7; lost to NPJ 14-1 National 25-19, 26-28, 9-15. (4-1, 9-3)

Columbia 13-Black finishes 9th at Midwinter Classic

Columbia 13-Black lost a tough tie-breaker in the Championship bracket that took them out of the Midwinter Classic earlier than they hoped. Columbia's second youngest team finished 9th in the 24 team U-14 field.

13-Black scores: defeated Sweets 14-2 Blue 25-17, 25-7; defeated Out of System 14-2 25-22, 25-20; lost to Team Yakima 14-1 Gold 10-25, 10-25; lost to KC Thunder 14-2 Black 18-25, 25-18, 6-15. (2-2, 5-4)

Columbia 12-Black takes 5th at VIP Block Party

Columbia 12-Black suffered their first loss (to a girls team) of the season at the VIP Block Party in Spokane on Sunday. Columbia's youngest team finished 5th overall, reaching the Championship bracket quarterfinals. Keep powering forward girls!

Columbia 15-Black moves to 5th among Power League U-15 teams and into Diamond

Columbia 15-Black moved into the Diamond Division at CEVA Power League qualifying at #33 overall and 5th place among U-15 teams. Keep up the good work ladies!

Columbia 16-Black climbs to Silver at CEVA Power League

Columbia 16-Black moved from 19th overall, to 14th overall among the 112 teams in the U-16 division, and claimed a spot in the Silver Division for February Power League. Congratulations players, coaches, and fans!

Columbia 18-Black finishes 12th at Hartner Memorial

Columbia 18-Black finished in the Gold bracket, 12th overall (of 108 teams) after three days of 18 Open competition at the Matt Hartner Memorial Classic at the University of Oregon over Memorial weekend. Columbia 16-Black joined them by also reaching the Gold bracket of 16 Open, finishing 27th overall (of 124 teams.) 17-Black finished in the Silver bracket of 18 Open, and 15-Black finished in the Bronze bracket of 16 Open. Congratulations ladies and coaches!
