Columbia's Summer Traveling Camp is coming!

The annual highlight of the Summer Volleyball season is returning again in July! The Traveling Camp with Dr. Mashallah Farokhmanesh (Farokh to his fans) will be returning in July. All Skills camp will run for 3 days July 8th - July 10th (Mon-Wed), and Setters/Hitters Position camp will happen on Thursday, July 11th.

Good luck to all our teams who play their first real matches of the season this weekend!

Also, a reminder that January fee payments will be due this weekend as well. You can give payments to your coaches at the tournaments if you'd like.

Chaperone registration

If the coach of your player's team has chosen you to serve as chaperone for that team. You will need to register for an account at USAV Webpoint: https://webpoint.usavolleyball.org/

Register as an Chaperone for a Junior team, and pay for your registration (and background check if needed.) You can deduct your payment from your player's Columbia JVBC season fees. Just note the deduction on your fee payment to John L.

Chaperones must also complete Safesport training on the USAV website. See instructions here for registration: https://www.evergreenregion.org/safesport/

Columbia 15-Red released to make arrangements for Renton

Columbia 15-Red players/parents are released to make travel arrangements for the Under Armour MLK tournament on MLK Weekend. See the tournament website for travel information. Contact your coach if you have any questions.

Makeup instructions for Score/Ref Clinic

Here are the instructions for completing Score/Ref if you are missing our clinic today:

Go to your USAV Webpoint account (there is a link on our website menu) and login.

  • Click on Region Clinics
  • Then Region Ref/Score
  • Select the correct course…then click PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION
  • Complete the Registration for the course (no charge)
  • Then to access modules select the RED USAV ACADEMY BUTTON
  • ALL modules must be completed for the certification to update
  • If you need help with any of the modules getting stuck during the course they submit a HELP ticket in the Academy.

Please get this done asap.

Travel arrangements for MLK Hartner Memorial Tournament

Parents and Players from Columbia 15-Black and Columbia 16-Black should make their travel arrangements now for the Hartner Memorial Classic in Eugene on January 19th-21st. Teams will play Saturday - Monday, but we don't yet know information about playing times. It's best to arrive on Friday.
